More than two-thirds of respondents participated in a new poll in the United States maintain that the country is on the wrong track under the leadership of President Joe Biden.
According to a joint survey carried out by Morning Consult and Politico, 68 percent of voters believe that the US is going on the wrong path, while only 32 percent had the opposite view.
Moreover, only 41 percent of the respondents were satisfied with Bidens performance in the office, and 56 percent expressed dissatisfaction.
The new poll comes just a few days after a CBS News survey found half of the respondents "frustrated" and "disappointed," by Bidens presidency.
Bidens approval rating has been on the decline since August when his chaotic withdrawal of the US forces from Afghanistan led to the Talibans takeover of Kabul.
He is also under pressure of the US public opinion over a wide range of internal issues, including the rising inflation.
Meanwhile, Democrats are worried that Bidens sinking approval rating will cost them their slim majorities in Congress in this years midterm elections.
Biden, however, maintains that his administration has managed to gain remarkable achievements over the past year.
"Tomorrow will mark one year since I took office. Its been a year of challenges, but its also been a year of enormous progress. We went from 2 million people being vaccinated at the moment I was sworn in to 210 million Americans being fully vaccinated today," Biden said during a press conference in the White House on Wednesday afternoon.
"We created 6 million new jobs. More jobs in one year than any time before. Unemployment dropped. The unemployment rate dropped to 3.9%. Child poverty dropped by nearly 40%," he added.
